Porto: Cálem Cellar with Chocolate, Cheese, and Wine Tasting
1.Cálem Cellar with Chocolate, Cheese, and Wine Tasting
Spend about an hour at Cálem Cellars learning how Port is made, visiting the interactive museum, and tasting Late Bottled Vintage, Vintage, and 20-year Tawny with cheese, chocolate, crackers, and jam. Tours run in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Guides including Matthew, Anna, and Anastasia have led particularly well-received sessions.

“Yesterday afternoon, I enjoyed a wonderful Port Wine tasting tour that truly stood out. It began with a guided visit to the Calém cellar, including 15 minutes to explore their interactive museum, which explains the port wine-making process in a fun and informative way. The 45-minute tour flew by, but the tasting session was the real highlight. Opting for the pairing with goat cheese, São Jorge cheese from the Azores, and chocolate was definitely worth it, as it helped to distinguish the fruity, woody, and caramel notes in the wines. A perfect way to spend an hour exploring Porto’s rich wine offerings!”
