Gruyères Tour from Geneva With Train, Chocolate and Cheese

1.Gruyères Tour from Geneva With Train, Chocolate and Cheese

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 258 reviews · 10 hours (approx.) · from $305Our pick

Travel from Geneva to Broc and Gruyères by air-conditioned coach, with chocolate tasting at Maison Cailler, cheese at La Maison du Gruyère, free time in the medieval village, fondue, and a scenic GoldenPass train ride toward Montreux. Guides such as Roger, David, Babis, and Aristotle are known for adding humor and clear direction.

“Overall a very good excursion. We loved the chocolate factory tour & sampling and enjoyed the Gruyère cheese making & tasting with the lunch. The palace and surrounding village were worthwhile and the train through the mountains into Montreux was lovely as well. Our only negative was that our guide Normand made a few political references to his liking of Trump in America. For American tourists on holiday in Europe and trying to enjoy their vacation, his comments were very uncomfortable & unnecessary for many people in the group.”

Travel from Lausanne to Cailler, La Maison du Gruyère, and the medieval village of Gruyères with an English-speaking driver-guide. You will taste chocolate, watch cheese production, eat fondue, and ride the GoldenPass Panoramic train. The day is well planned, though one hour in Gruyères can feel short.

“This was a fantastic, fun day trip from Lausanne. The driver and guide was so friendly and helpful. He showed us the key spots at each stop and gladly took photos for the group, including one in Gruyeres with a fantastic view that we would have missed on our own. He even managed to squeeze in an extra stop with us being ahead of schedule. The scenery on the ride there and back was absolutely breathtaking and we loved tasting the cheese and chocolate. We really felt like we did a lot in just one day and absolutely loved it!”
